What can a musician do during this pandemic? We are by nature social creatures. We play with others for an audience. What happens when that is no longer an option?
Now is the time when we might consider the many actions and tasks, long left unfinished. Here is my partial list:
Write a book on musical practice
Lean in to the silence
Play the bass
Learn to operate a DAW
Write about some of the musicians with whom I have been playing
Practice the bass
Do my taxes
Practice the piano
Visit the Ausländerbehörder
Cook various foods and eat them
Paint the walls
Climb them
Yoga every day!
